The programs of the autumn semester, organized by the Public Culture Secretariat, Cultural and Organizational Office of the University of Debrecen, have been launched.
According to the International Jury`s decision, the following submitted films from the official selection have been nominated as finalists. They will be screened during the Festival on September 19-21. 2024. in Mátészalka.
Debrecen’s Malter Bar celebrated its second anniversary with concerts.
Debrecen’s first pedestrian street, Batthyány Street, will host a new initiative, the International Street Festival, on June 28, 2024. This free event will offer visitors a taste of the diverse cultures represented in the city.
This year, museums will open their doors again on Saturday 22 June, the shortest night of the year. On the day closest to Midsummer’s Day, in addition to exhibitions, there will be concerts, guided tours, interactive events, family activities and a host of surprises in Debrecen for the Night of the Museums.
On May 11, the 33rd Debrecen Spring Exhibition opened in the Bényi Gallery (Kölcsey Center). The exhibition can be seen until June 20, 2024, during the opening hours of the Kölcsey Center (Debrecen, Hunyadi u. 1-3), daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., during evening events until 7 p.m.
For the last time this semester, this week IEAS Film Club is screening three short films directed by Hungarian director, Máté Konkol. After viewing the films, they will have a discussion/Q&A session with the director.
